The Fredericks Company is excited to welcome undergraduate and graduate students from Temple University who was approved for the Manufacturing PA Innovation Program Award. The university will work together with The Fredericks Company to design and develop an integrated custom electronic tilt measurement sensor to monitor transmission towers, utility poles, and other equipment.
“We are honored to have been selected as one of the manufacturing companies in PA to be a part of the Manufacturing PA Innovation Program”, said Heidi Mckenna, president of The Fredericks Company, “ The engineering students will learn about the many capabilities of our tilt sensors, work to design and manufacture a product to support our local utility infrastructure and through the entire process get excited about the future of manufacturing in the region.”
Manufacturing PA’s fellowship program was created by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolfe in 2018. The initiative was designed to partner Pennsylvania’s best and brightest undergraduate and graduate students with local manufacturers across Pennsylvania to develop new technologies and advance innovation.
