The Televac® 7E cold cathode gauge (also called a vacuum pressure gauge or cold cathode ionization gauge) has a measurement range from 10-8 Torr up to 10-2 Torr. This vacuum gauge makes indirect absolute pressure measurements by ionizing gas in the presence of a magnetic field. Unlike hot filament vacuum gauges, the 7E gauge is cleanable, contamination resistant, and isn’t as easily damaged by inrushes of gas.
The design of this vacuum gauge allows for easy disassembly, enabling quick cleaning and extended use. The 7E cold cathode ionization gauge can be operated by using the Televac® MX200, MX200 EthernetIP, or the MX200 PROFINET Vacuum Controller. Any vacuum controller will automatically operate the cold cathode to provide a full-range vacuum measurement solution when the 7E is used in conjunction with rough vacuum sensors like the 2A thermocouple vacuum gauge or 4A convection vacuum gauge.
