Description
This document explains the process for configuring Tera Term for communications with TFC tilt products from a Windows PC. The serial communications program Tera Term must be installed prior to following these instructions, and a serial to USB converter must be purchased. If you don’t have Tera Term installed, click here to install the latest version from GitHub.
Instructions
1. Branchez le convertisseur série-USB sur votre PC.
2. Ouvrez le menu Démarrer.
3. Ouvrez le Panneau de configuration.
4. Ouvrez le menu Matériel et son.
5. Ouvrez le Gestionnaire de périphériques.
6. Développez le menu déroulant Ports (COM & LPT).
7. Déterminez l'affectation du port COM pour votre convertisseur USB vers série, dans cet exemple le convertisseur est affecté à COM3.
8. Ouvrez TeraTerm.Ouvrez le menu Configuration et sélectionnez l'option Port série...
9. Change the Port setting to the COM port for your USB to serial converter, in this example it is COM3.
10. Ensure that the remainder of the settings are the following, then select OK:
- Taux de baud : 9600
- Données : 8 bits
- Parité : aucune
- Stop : 1 bit
- Contrôle des flux : aucun
- Retard de transmission : 0 msec/char, 0 msec/ligne
11. Open the Setup menu and select the Terminal setup… option.
12. Ensure that the settings are the following, then select OK:
- Recevoir : CR+LF
- Transmettre : CR+LF
- Vérification de l'écho local
13. You can now send the desired commands to the unit.
