Fredericks Announces Launch of The ApexOne, a Versatile Single Axis Inclinometer
July 25, 2017, Huntingdon Valley, PA – The Fredericks Company (Fredericks), an industry-leading innovator and manufacturer of tilt and vacuum measurement products, announced today the launch of the ApexOne, a versatile single axis inclinometer for industrial position and angle measurement applications. The new unit, designed for use in construction and agricultural vehicles and solar tracking, will expand the Company’s tilt measurement product line which has set industry standards for more than 80 years.
The ApexOne includes a simple to use 0.5 V to 4.5 V DC output over a ±60° operating angle range with both horizontal and vertical mounting options incorporated into the standard unit. The cost-effective unit provides platform height measurement and input for load sensing system calculations for scissor lifts, and offers boom angle measurement for telescopic and articulating boom lifts. Contained in a highly robust PBT housing with urethane potting, the ApexOne offers excellent environmental durability, including IP67 protection and UV resistance for outdoor use. In addition to providing superior performance in extreme temperatures and environments, other unique features and advantages of the unit include:
- Response time of ≤250 ms;
- Wide voltage supply range of 10 V DC to 30 V DC;
- Works with industry standard 12 V DC or 24 V DC vehicle batteries;
- Low current device drawing 5 mA at 12 V DC; low power consumption;
- Multiple electrical connection options (Deutsch, AMP, or flying leads) for simple integration; and
- PBT housing with potting to provide IP67 environmental protection and UV resistance.
